Do they help the poor?Karen Anna Vogelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14556185760781288692noreply@blogger.comBlogger4125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5024717531907322725.post-74528744414668410042021-09-15T19:01:04.459-07:002021-09-15T19:01:04.459-07:00I attended a Mennonite church here in Smithville T...I attended a Mennonite church here in Smithville TN for 3 years, and have heard them talking about sending some of their members to disaster clean ups in distant places at times. It's something that they like to point out to visitors. But when it comes to helping those locally who were homeless and in need, they didn't seem to be moved to do so, even though the homeless camp was only a few miles away. They seemed to ignor the problem, and even spoke badly of those who did help the homeless as being prideful and contributing to the problem. So I'm glad to hear that some Mennonites are doing what scripture demands. Unfortunately many will not.Spartaeushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05515756574405103491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5024717531907322725.post-4195204019011641222019-07-04T02:34:51.065-07:002019-07-04T02:34:51.065-07:00I think you provide the awesome content here, than...I think you provide the awesome content here, thank you for providing such information.
by Gexton Foundation Arya Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08341051854036937122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5024717531907322725.post-3343550228294461362011-09-15T20:00:55.199-07:002011-09-15T20:00:55.199-07:00That is one of the wonderful things about novels. ...That is one of the wonderful things about novels. They can share truths in a way that makes it real to folks, not just hearing that this group exists, but actually "meeting" some of those folks and seeing them in action.

I used to live in Somerville, right next door to Manville. I never would have expected help of that sort to come from the Amish community.

Thanks for sharing this info.Donna Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06834413457080381432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5024717531907322725.post-47495654015029636902011-09-14T13:01:41.099-07:002011-09-14T13:01:41.099-07:00Thank you so much for sharing this information wit...Thank you so much for sharing this information with us.
